Fenton Antique Scottish Dirk from 1923

Surviving antique Scottish dirk made in Fenton, Staffordshire in November, 1923.

It is 17 3/8" overall with a 12" blade that has a 5 1/8" sharpened reverse edge. Baluster grip carved with basketweave and set with brass nails. White metal mounts including pommel with a crown motif. Scottish thistle motif in the white metal fittings.

The dirk is in good condition overall. There is minor pitting on the blade. There are chips in the wood grip near the metal pommel and a chip on the backside of the wooden grip. The pommel cap is missing a nail or screw on the side.
