Based on a circa 1600 design. There are several surviving examples of this type of sword. One is in the Wallace Collections and several are at the Bavarian National Museum. This style of sword was carried by the Munich town guard. The slightly shorter blade and stout hilt were perfect for breaking up a street fight or tavern brawl. Hand crafted from 1095 high carbon spring steel with a full tang. Steel pommel and guard with wood wire wrapped grip. Complete with leather scabbard. Ships with an unsharpened edge. The sword is 43 1/4" overall with a 34" blade. Weighs around 3 pounds.
